Angela Li is the Vice President of Multimedia and Branding Director for Nucleate, and creates designs for Nucleate Dojo. She is completing her undergraduate degree in Global Business and Digital Arts at the University of Waterloo.
Anisha Sharma is a member of the Ecosystems Research Initiative where she writes articles as part of the Hidden Layers series. She is a PhD student in Materials Science and Engineering at Northwestern University.
Chris Lopez is the Co-Director of Multimedia for Nucleate and a PhD candidate in organic chemistry at Boston University.
Hannah Dayton serves as the Executive Vice President of Content Strategy and Signal Editor at Nucleate. She is a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard Medical School, continuing her PhD research on antibiotic resistance, which she completed at Columbia University.
Julia Zhao is the Global Director of Activator Operations for Nucleate and Co-advisor for Nucleate New York. She was previously the Managing Director for Nucleate New York, and obtained her PhD from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
Kevin Merchant is a writer for Signal. He is a PhD candidate at Helmholtz Munich working at the intersection of omics and AI technologies, particularly drug discovery & development against pulmonary fibrosis. Kevin also has a long standing interest in science communication and philosophy.
Lauren Dierdorff is a Communications Lead for Nucleate New York and is the Director of Education for Nucleate's BD101 course with Genentech and Alnylam. She is pursuing her PhD in Neuroscience at Mount Sinai in New York.
Lauren Stanwicks is VP of Research Initiatives, leads Ecosystem Mapping Research and produces the Hidden Layers article series. She is a neuroscience PhD candidate at UCSD and was previously Co-MD of Nucleate San Diego and developed the Partnering with Pharma Entrepreneurial Scientist Playbook.
Lindsey Florek is the Director of Communications for Nucleate New York and a current PhD candidate at Columbia University.
Marley Rossa is the Graphic Design lead for Signal. She is a medical writer and previously obtained her PhD in Neuroscience from the Salk Institute.
Martin Holub is the Co-Lead of Nucleate Netherlands emerging chapter and a PhD student in biophysics at the Kavli Institute of Neuroscience. You can find him at martinholub.com.
Michael Retchin is the Co-President of Nucleate and a PhD Candidate at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He was also previously the co-founder of Nucleate New York, a senior associate at Pillar VC, and part of the founding team at Cellarity.
Natalie Losada is the Co-Lead for the Nucleate (Signal) writers team. Her undergraduate training is in art and science and her PhD in biophysical chemistry. She is passionate about science communication.
Robert Tan is the Co-Director of Multimedia at Nucleate and a research associate focused in gene regulation multi-omics at the New York Genome Center and Weill Cornell Medicine. He completed his undergraduate research training in immunology at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research.
Romina Horianski is the LATAM Leader for Nucleate’s Ecosystem Mapping Research and leader for Nucleate Emerging Chapter in Brazil. She is also a PhD candidate at the University of Sao Paulo and works at the University's Hospital Innovation Center.
Samantha Avina is a writer for Signal. She is a PhD candidate at Rutgers University focused on fungal pathogenesis and vaccine development. In the biomedical microbial research community, she is a passionate advocate for the advancement of historically underrepresented minorities.
Sam Kessel is the podcast lead for Nucleate. He is a physician by training and is now an investment banker at Locust Walk focusing on transactions of innovative biotech companies.
Shawn Rumrill is a writer for Signal. He is a PhD candidate at Rutgers University focused on using biophysical techniques to understand HIV-1 reverse transcriptase. He aims to bridge the gap between academia, biotech, and entrepreneurship. In his free time, he enjoys listening to podcasts and watching movies.
